

Pultruded profiles of glass fibres have properties which qualify them as very convenient material for
anchors used for ground stabilizing. Besides high tensile strength in longitudinal direction, they have
one important advantage compared to metal anchors. Because of relatively low transversal strength,
built-in composite anchors can be destroyed during digging so much that they do not damaged machinery.
Composite anchors are used for ground stabilizing in mines in places where digging after some time is
expected and in heavy conditions in tunnel works.
