Filament wound composite products made of glass fibers and epoxy resin have besides very good mechanical properties and fair temperature resistance also excellent electroinsulative properties. Therefore filament wound composites are used also as a construction material for electrical devices. Example for successful use are housings for middle-voltage switchers.
